National High Performance program

SLSA developed the National High Performance program to ensure that our elite athletes, coaches, management and officials have access to the best sporting programs available to ensure that we remain the number one ranked lifesaving nation.

We have a long history of success in surf lifesaving competition and this continued in 2008 when Australia took out the Rescue World Championships in Germany. In 2010 Australia will be sending our team to the World Championships in Egypt to defend the title.

The National High Performance (NHP) program assists our elite athletes by funding them to represent Australia at international competitions around the world.

Important Information For Athletes

Therapeutic Use Exemption Forms:

The World Anti-Doping Agency made a change to the way athletes from all sports must lodge an application for the use of a prohibited substance. The old ATUE form has been abolished as at January 1, 2009 and has been replaced by the new STUE form which requires a bit more detail. As such the new form can be downloaded from the Australian Sports Drug Medical Advisory Committee (ASDMAC) via their website http://www.asdmac.gov.au and follow the links to “Forms: TUE”.
